N-HYPPADEC HANDS OVER SITE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 9 UNITS OF TWO-BEDROOM FLATS TO UGWO AND ADANGERE COMMUNITIES IN KOTONKARFE KINGDOM.

The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission has officially handed over the site for the construction of 9 two-bedroom flats to facilitate the resettlement of the Ugwo and Adangere communities in Kotonkarfe Kingdom, Kogi State.

The project, which is part of the Commission's commitment to improving the welfare of hydroelectric power-producing communities, aims to provide decent housing for residents affected by development activities and to enhance their standard of living.

During the site handover ceremony, Engr. Abdulrahman, accompanied by the Kotonkarfe Area Officer, Zubeiru Ali Bukar, charged the contractor to execute the project strictly in accordance with the Commission's approved building specifications and the highest standards of quality.

Receiving the site on behalf of the contracting firm and in the presence of community stakeholders, Umar Yau Abubakar assured the Commission and the benefiting communities of his commitment to delivering the project in full compliance with the approved Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and within the stipulated timeframe.

Speaking on behalf of the host communities, Dr. Saidu Akawu Salihu, Ohimegye Igu Kotonkarfe, lauded N-HYPPADEC and pledged the community's support for the successful execution of the project. He stated that the traditional institution would closely monitor the construction process to ensure that quality standards are maintained.

"I will personally visit the project site from time to time alongside community engineers to verify the quality of work being carried out. This people-oriented intervention by N-HYPPADEC is expected to serve both the present and future generations. We are determined to ensure that the project reflects the Commission's commitment to excellence and preserves its hard-earned reputation," the royal father said.

The site handover marks another milestone in N-HYPPADEC's ongoing efforts to provide sustainable infrastructure and improve the living conditions of communities impacted by hydroelectric power generation.
