Part of the delegation's early engagements was a strategic meeting with the Ford Foundation and the Adaptation Fund teams. Discussions focused on mobilizing climate finance and technical partnerships to enhance community resilience, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable livelihoods across the Commission’s areas of operations.

The Managing Director National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission, Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa FcnA, FNiS, FNIM (Katukan Yauri) is currently attending the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28 UAE) in Dubai. At the event, the MD interacted with some key actors on the climate change value chain from within and outside Nigeria. They include the Honourable Minister of Environment Malam Balarabe Abbas, Honourable Minister of Aviation Barr. Festus Keyamo and some Commissioners of Environment.
