NANS AWARD MD N-HYPPADEC WITH AWARD OF EXCELLENCE IN NATIONAL SERVICE AND COMMUNITY IMPACT.

The Managing Director of the National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC), Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa, fcna, FniiS (Katukan Yauri), has been honoured by the National Association of Nigerian Students with an Award of Excellence in Leadership, National Service and Community Impact.

The award was presented to the Managing Director by the NANS North Central Zonal Coordinator, Comrade Hussain Jamilu Ebbo, at the commission's headquarters on Friday.

Comr Ebbo said the award is in recognition of the Managing Director's outstanding contributions to community development, youth empowerment, and public service delivery across Nigeria's hydroelectric power-producing communities.

While receiving the award, the Managing Director expressed profound appreciation to the leadership and members of NANS for the recognition. He described the honour as a motivation to intensify efforts toward improving the living conditions of people residing in hydroelectric power-producing areas.

He reiterated N-HYPPADEC's commitment to implementing impactful projects and programmes that promote sustainable development, economic empowerment, and social well-being in beneficiary communities nationwide.

The Managing Director assured the student body and Nigerians at large that the Commission would continue to explore innovative approaches and strategic interventions aimed at bringing greater comfort, development, and prosperity to hydroelectric power-producing communities in Nigeria.
