Resettlement Housing Scheme

Another well thought out intervention is Yelwa’s idea of relocating the most flood prone communities to a safer ground- the N-HYPPADEC Resettlement Housing Scheme. This proactive approach is to further alleviate the sufferings of the N – HYPPADEC Communities submerged by flood waters annually. The approved for the construction of over Five Hundred (500) housing units of two-bedroom flats ensuite with kitchen, store and a sitting room for the resettlement of the most affected communities across the Commission’s catchment states in the country. The resettlement housing scheme is spread across Muregi and Ketso communities of Mokwa Local Government Area in Niger State, Mozum, Bassa Local Government Area and Jamata in Kogi Local Government Areas of Kogi State, Yauri, Shanga and Bagudo Local Government Areas of Kebbi State and some selected communities in Kwara State.
