N-HYPPADEC INSPECTS EMBANKMENT PROJECT AT MUYE.

The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has inspected the ongoing construction of an Embankment Project at the Gurara waterfront in Muye, Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State, as part of efforts to monitor the effective execution of interventions across its mandate areas.

The embankment project is a critical intervention by the Commission for the Muye community, providing protection against flooding and helping safeguard homes, farmland, livelihoods, and other community assets from the impacts of rising water levels.

During the inspection, the Managing Director, represented by the Director of Finance Administration, Dr. Haruna Jimoh Gabi, engaged the contractors, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders to highlight concerns, identify challenges, and ensure that the project is delivered in line with the contractual agreement within the specified time to serve its intended purpose.
