N-HYPPADEC CONTINUES 2026 FLOOD AWARENESS CAMPAIGN IN MAYO RANO COMMUNITY, TARABA STATE.
The National Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (N-HYPPADEC) has furthered its 2026 Flood Awareness and Advocacy Campaign with a community sensitization in Mayo Rano, Taraba State, as part of ongoing efforts to reduce flood impacts across its member states.
During the campaign, residents learned practical flood preparedness and safety measures, including paying attention to early warning alerts, clearing drainage channels, relocating to safer areas when necessary, and following guidance from authorities.
Speaking at the event, the Commission’s representative, Aminu Yusuf Galadima, Head of Forestry Unit, emphasized that community involvement is crucial to mitigating flood risks and safeguarding lives and property during the rainy season.
Through continuous public education and disaster risk reduction efforts, N-HYPPADEC remains dedicated to safeguarding lives, livelihoods, and critical infrastructure, while building stronger, more resilient communities across its member states.
